It was a joy working on this trilogy of video essays that covered the wonderful artistry of UPA -- one of the greatest studios in the history of animation, who produced some of the most striking cartoons ever seen and whose minimalist aesthetic helped define a rapidly evolving post-World War II environment for the medium.

Graciously, the first episode in the series was given a Vimeo Staff pick, and the three videos were included in Sight and Sound's Best Video Essays of 2019 list.
